Nikki's Story

[Back to Index]

Laurie and Bill, guests at Club Orient, took a liking to stray Nikki. Hoping to find her a home, they began introducing her to everyone on the beach who petted or spoke to her. She is a very charming, friendly dog and received a lot of attention on the beach.

Joelle was at Club Orient early in the month and the summer temperatures were too high to transport Nikki to the U.S. So before she left, she had Nikki spayed and had resigned herself to the fact that Nikki would have to fend for herself. At least she wouldn't have any litters.

But that wasn't good enough for Laurie and Bill. Thank goodness. Two weeks later Nikki had an excellent, forever island home with a dog loving family.

Nikki is doing fine and loves her new family. She's great with 2 year old Sophie and keeps very active with her 6 month old brother "Ace".

Nikki is the dog on the right.

If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.
