Island Cats

Cats that have been spayed/neutered are marked by a "V"-shaped notch on one ear tip. The cats do a great job of pest control at Club Orient. Reports of un-notched cats including description and location of sighting are very much appreciated.

To date (January 2005) 35 cats have been Trapped, Neutered and Returned. They are extremely healthy, clean and free of fleas and ticks.

We love hearing about the "Notchers" and how they are faring throughout the year. Again, we also ask that you report any un-notched cats: please contact us with a description of coloring, temperament and location where the cat is usually seen.

Here are some pictures of typical cats you might see at Club Orient.

Star Star
Star relaxes safely in a tree at Club O. She's the big girl "on the block" in the studios neighborhood. Star used to be quite a bully but has calmed down a lot after several H2O treatments. She often buddies up with Lilly/Scaredy Cat." Star is another other cat who has been mistakenly notched on her right ear.

The second photo of Star shows the unusual facial marking she was named for.

Kitty Burrito     Pepper the Alpine Kitty
Pepper a.k.a. Rascal a.k.a. Bulldog
Pepper is the darling of the Studio circle. She is loving to all which is probably why she has so many names. She has come close to being adopted many times but it just hasn't happened for her yet. She makes friends very easily and seems very happy living at Club Orient. She has the best of both worlds...her total freedom and the love and affection of many admirers when she needs a little special one-on-one attention.
Number Three-- that's his name!
Number Three- that's his name! AKA Joey. Large, brown male tabby, neutered. Hangs out with Jingle and Razzle. A bit cautious at first but eventually friendly.
Razzle Typical nap
Razzle aka Tigger. Male.
Bentley
Bentley
Tweed & Jessa
Club O. cat Tweed meets Island Pup Jessa
Belle
This is Belle, aka Gabby Tabby. Belle is one of the original five we had spay/neutered in Jan. 2001. She is a little girl but she has no trouble keeping her 4 brothers in line.
Jingle
Jingle aka Luke. Neutered.

Buttercrunch- Neutered, feral, orange male with white tummy and legs. Only comes out to feed at night but sometimes spotted at dusk in the Studio area. (Photo, taken at midnight, shows him smiling in front of Papagayo.)
