Athena's Story

[Back to Index]

Athena was rescued in November 2004 from the Animal Welfare Foundation in Philipsburg. She's a perky terrier mix, 18 pounds and about 14 months old, and a real lover. After spending a week at Club Orient, she travelled to the US where she immediately found a nice home in New Hampshire.

Her family are related to Lady and Tika, so the island girls have plenty of chances for reunions.

Athena is a real lover and enjoys her newfound status of Princess.

Dogs seem to be very adaptable and, like all the other Island Dogs that have come here, Athena seems to love playing in the snow. "My family made the whole back yard white, just for me!"

Athena at Club Orient It may be our imagination, but most island dogs we've seen that come here from St. Martin seem to be forever grateful for their new chance in life. Athena is no exception to this.

Athena is now a proud graduate of Puppy Kindergarten.
